  • Would I need to pay the CT or CODY who comes by to inspect or service my product?
    Answer: No. You are not required to pay any labour fees unless your service warranty membership has expired. You have the option to renew your membership for 1 or 2 years and you won’t have to pay for any charges thereafter.

  • How can I get Coway products?
    Answer: There are two ways to own a Coway product—Rental and Outright Purchase: 1. Rental A Rental Registration Fee of RM200 and a one-month advance rental payment is all you need to get started. Our service team, Coway Lady (CODY) will provide complimentary periodic maintenance service throughout your rental period. The minimum contract is 3 years, but you can rent the product for up to 5 years. After 5 years, no rental payment will be charged and the product will officially belong to you. Should you require maintenance service after 5 years, you may subscribe to our Service Membership. 2. Outright Purchase No installation fee is needed and you can opt for a 0% interest instalment for up to 36 months. CODY Service is complimentary for the first year and you may choose to subscribe to our Service Membership after one year.
  • What benefits does a Service Package include?
    Answer: By subscribing to our Service Package, you are entitled to CODY's periodic maintenance service (Heart Service) which includes filter change and sanitation. All types of repairs (After Service) will be provided by Coway Technician (CT) and the spare parts will also come at no extra cost.
  • How do I renew my Service Package?

  • How frequently will my Coway product be serviced?
    Answer: The service period varies for each category of Coway product: Water purifier, air purifier and water softener—every 2 months Bidet and outdoor filter Apolo POE 10-A—every 4 months Outdoor filter Bamboo and Bamboo Mini—every 6 months
  • What are the payment options for my monthly rental?

  • I have changed my credit card recently. How do I update my credit card details for auto debit purpose?

  • When does Coway normally perform the deduction from my credit card/direct debit account?
    Answer: On the 1st week of the month, usually between 3rd and 5th (Varies depending on the bank). [Minimum Rental Period] The Minimum Rental Period for rental of the Appliance is three (3) years from the Rental Commencement Date. Coway will impose termination fees if Customer terminates this Agreement during the Minimum Rental Period. [Early Termination Fee] In the event of termination of this Agreement during the Minimum Rental Period, Customer shall pay a termination fee amount equal to 50% of the total sum of monthly rental fee for the remainder of the Minimum Rental Period calculated on a calendar month basis
  • Why am I receiving the same SMS every month stating that my account has been charged RM10?
    Answer: When the rental payment fails to be deducted from your account, a Rental Handling Fee of RM10 will be charged. [Monthly Rental Fee Payment] A.All payments to be made herein by Customer to Coway shall be by way of direct debit/auto debit of Customer’s credit/debit card or bank accounts or any other modes of payment approved by Coway from time to time and as agreed upon under this Agreement. Customer shall upon signing this Agreement complete and execute the relevant payment authorisation form as annexed herein. B. If customer opts to pay via other mode, other than direct debit/auto debit of Customer’s credit/debit card or bank accounts, Coway will charge an additional RM10 as Rental Collection Handling Fee in the monthly rental fee due to Coway. C.Customer who selects the Direct Debit or Auto Debit mode of payment must ensure that they have sufficient balance to fulfil the monthly rental payment. Coway reserves the right to charge an additional RM10 as a Rental Collection Handling Fee in the case of failure to obtain payments through direct debit or auto debit for two (2) consecutive months with no subsequent advance payment of rental. The Rental Collection Handling Fee will be charged on a monthly basis beginning from the month following the second consecutive month in which Customer fails to make payment via direct debit or auto debit. D. Coway reserves the right to charge the Rental Collection Handling Fee monthly if Customer cancels direct debit or auto debit by any means, with no subsequent advance payment of rental by Customer. If Customer continues not to pay advance payment of rental, Coway will charge the Rental Collection Handling Fee monthly from the month following the end of any payment of rental in advance. E.Customer must inform Coway in writing as soon as possible of any changes to bank account details which may affect payment to avoid any delay in providing services. F. Where Coway does not receive full payment from the Customer due to insufficient balance in the Customer’s bank accounts on the date payment is due, Coway shall be entitled to appropriate a sufficient amount from the Customer’s bank account to fulfil the amount due to Coway at a later date. There may be more than one attempt to charge payment to customer’s credit/debit card account and bank accounts to ensure that the monthly rental fee due to Coway is paid in full.
  • I have applied for auto debit deduction but I’m still receiving SMS stating that my rental fee has failed to be deducted.
    Answer: There could be a number of reasons as to why you are still receiving the SMS despite having submitted the auto debit form: The signature on the auto debit form and the card holder are not identical, therefore your application could have been rejected by the bank. In such events, you might need to fill up another form. The form is still being processed by the bank and the auto debit transaction will only go through upon approval from the bank.
  • Why has my account been switched back to regular payment mode?
    Answer: If your bill has been overdue for 3 months, your auto debit account will automatically be reverted back to regular payment mode. If you still wish to proceed with auto debit mode, kindly provide us with your card number, expiry date, issuing bank and card type to proceed.
  • What is Sales Tax?
    Answer: Sales tax is a single-stage tax charged on taxable goods manufactured in Malaysia by a taxable person or on taxable goods imported into Malaysia.
  • What is Service Tax?
    Answer: Service Tax is tax charged on any provision of taxable services made in Malaysia by a taxable person.
  • Are Coway products and services subjected to sales tax or service tax (“SST”)?
    Answer: No, all the products and services supplied by Coway are not subjected to sales tax or service tax.
  • Is Coway registered for sales tax and service tax?
    Answer: No, Coway is not required to register for sales tax and service tax.
  • Will the prices of Coway products for new sales orders and services be revised following SST implementation?

  • Is rental fee billed after 1 September 2018 subjected to GST?
    Answer: No, GST is no longer applicable from 1 September 2018 onwards.
  • WHAT IS THE PH RANGE OF NORMAL TAP WATER ?
    According to Malatsia's Ministry of Health, acceptable pH range of raw water is 5.5 to 9.
  • IS COWAY'S WATER TANK SAFE AND RELIABLE ?
    All water tanks of Coway water purifier use are coated with sterilization coating which stainless steel tanks can't. This ensures always clean and safe water. Also, if the stainless steel is scratched, the metal content can be liquidated in the tank, causing the water to be contaminated. FYI: Coway's water tank meets the strictest requirements for quality by passing safety tests over 200 test standards and fulfils international standards such as WQA and NSF. SAFETY TEST RESULTS (Coway internal test, no toxic material detected) According to studies done by Coway R&D centre.
  • HOW LONG CAN COWAY'S WATER TANKS LAST ?
    Various tests have been done on the tanks to ensure the highest quality. There is no need to change the tanks until the lifespan of product ends, so we can say that the tanks can last permanently.
  • CAN FILTERS CONTROL PH ?
    The function of filters is filtrating impurities and not altering the pH. Only electrolysis process is able to alter pH of water. Filtered water that is slightly alkaline is usually due to the activated carbon in filters, which is similiar filter that Coway uses.
  • [Refund]
    Prepayment made by customer in respect of product price, rental processing fee and monthly rental fee is refundable provided that the order is cancelled by customer in writing within the installation of the appliance. Upon receiving such written request from customer, Coway will process refund within the time stipulated below:-
